Abstract

A descriptive cross-sectional correlational study was carried out with the objective of knowing the influence of job satisfaction nd work-life quality on the health personnel´s teamwork working in a selected public health institution during the last quarter of 2023. The following hypotheses were used: a) the better work-life quality, the greater job satisfaction, and the other way; b) the greater job satisfaction and better work-life quality, the better the perception of teamwork will be, and the other way. The following instruments were administered to a simple random probabilistic sample of 231 people who worked as health personnel in the selected institution: the job satisfaction scale validated by Infante Ochoa, Moret Montano, and Curbelo Heredia (2007); the quality of life scale developed and validated by Martínez (2017); and the teamwork scale developed and validated by Domínguez, Sierra, Sanabria, and Restrepo (2019). The data were processed statistically, and the results show that the first hypothesis was confirmed and the second was partially fulfilled, since the better the work-life quality, the greater the job satisfaction; however, what most directly affects the perception of teamwork is job satisfaction. These results are discussed in relation to the findings of other authors, and limitations of the present study are proposed as well as future lines of research.
